| Our Priest
Father John Hennies was ordained to the priesthood of the Orthodox Church in America by his Eminence Archbishop DMITRI of Dallas and the Dicosese of the South. The ordination took place during the Divine Liturgy at Saint Seraphim Cathedral in Dallas, Texas on Sunday Nov. 19, 2006.Fr. John was assigned as Priest-in-charge to Saint Dimitri Orthodox Mission where he and his wife Ana has made their home for the past two years. He comes to Orthodoxy after forty-seven years of pastoral minstry as an Episcopal priest. He is a graduate of Black Hills University in South Dakota where he earned a B.S. in Education degree. He was graduated from the Episcopal Theological School and Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, MA with a Master of Divinity degree. Fr. John received a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Graduate Theological Foundation at Notre Dame in Indiana.His academic credentials include twenty-one hours of additional graduate hours in psychology and communication, study at Ann Arbor, MI in gerontology, and extended pastoral education with Lutheran Social Services. He enrolled in the Saint Stephen's course for two years in an Orthodox Studies program at Antiochian Village in Pennsylvania..

On Bright Saturday 2007, Divine Liturgy for Bright Saturday con-celebrated by Orthodox Clergy from Orthodox communities in New Mexico at Saint Dimitri Orthodox Church in Los Alamos. Clergy and faithful gathered for celebration of the last day of Bright Week, a joyous celebration becoming a tradition for New Mexico clergy and faithful.

Ascension
The great Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord was concelebrated May 17 at St Juliana Russian Orthodox Church. This day was special as local Orthodox clergy and faithful joined the community of St. Juliana Russian Orthodox Church in celebration of the reconcilation between the Moscow Partiarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR).
